W.T. Armstrong Elkhart Student Flute Silver Plated Closed Hole Hard Case As Is

W.T. Armstrong student flute, silver plated, made in Elkhart, Indiana, in a hard case. The three pieces (head joint, body and foot joint) are all there.

Please read: I am not a flute player and I know nothing about flutes. I have not played it and I cannot tell you how it sounds or whether it seals. Sold as is.

What I can tell you: the head joint is stamped Armstrong, Elkhart, Ind. The serial number is 104K1316. It starts with 104, the same number as Armstrong's Model 104 student flute, but I am not certain of the model. The keys are the closed type with solid covers. The keys all move.

Condition: used and vintage. The pads look old and dry to me, so it will probably need new pads before it plays well. There is tarnish and wear on the silver plate and the case, and the case lining is matted (see the photos). One small key cup near the head end has no pad. I believe it is made that way, but I am not sure. The case is marked Gemeinhardt, so it is probably not the flute's original case.

Condition notes: Used, vintage, not played by the seller, sold as is. Pads look old and dry, will likely need repair. One key cup has no pad (believed by design). Tarnish and wear. Case is marked Gemeinhardt.
